Biography

        Qiyu Jin is a Professor at Lanzhou University. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of South Brittany, France. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Visiting Scholar at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay. He is a member of the Medical Mathematics Committee of the Chinese Mathematical Society and a Council Member of the Mathematical Programming Branch of the Operations Research Society of China.
        He has long-term collaborations with universities, including École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6), Inria Rennes Centre, etc. His research focuses on image processing, computer vision and optimization. His publications appear in journals and conferences including SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences, Structure (Cell Press), Journal of Scientific Computing (JSC), Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision (JMIV), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM), IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM), Pattern Recognition (PR), Image Processing (IP), MICCAI, etc.
        He has been Principal Investigator of several projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Many of his students have won the National Scholarship, and several have pursued further studies or taken R&D positions in universities or companies.
